At the last JB meeting, there were several citations to crime stats, needs for certain technology to decrease crime such as Pawn Broker monitoring of sales and exchanges of potentially stolen goods, a “shot spotter” to help the DA and APD ID crimes in real time, limited staff for monitoring paroled persons, cost of jailing a person a year, underutilization of APS and more. Let’s exchange ideas to get some thoughtful proposals on a public-private-partneship using a theory of social bonds to address these local ills.
